Actress Alia Bhatt came to the rescue of her ‘Shaandaar’ co-star
Shahid Kapoor at an event when personal questions were directed to him,
and said that she's "protective" about him.
Shahid and Alia were
present at an event, the Close-Up First Move Party, where they had a
fun-filled interaction with mediapersons.
When Shahid was asked who made the first move for his
wedding -- was it him or his wife Mira Rajput -- and other similar
questions, Alia took charge and dismissed all questions one after
another. This prompted scribes to ask them if they had decided to save
each other from personal queries.
To that, Alia said: "There's no
deal! I'm just protective about Shahid. And we're talking about
'Shaandaar' here. I get very irritated when people ask more personal
questions when we're trying to be on the work front. Make it more about
the work. It's only fair."
The ‘Highway’ actress also called herself a "good friend" and "good girl" for protecting Shahid.
Even Shahid made it clear that he wanted the questions to be restricted to his work and ‘Shaandaar’.
When
Shahid was asked why he's so reserved about his personal life, Alia
responded: "Because it's personal. That's why he's reserved."
‘Shaandaar’ is directed by Vikas Bahl under the banner of Phantom Films and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
At a recent event to promote Shaandaar, actress Alia Bhatt showed
exactly how protective she is of her co-star Shahid Kapoor, who was
bombarded with questions about his wedding to Mira Rajput rather than
the film.
While promoting Shaandaar, Shahid shared tips on how to make the
first move. But his 'move' backfired when he was asked between him and
Mira, who made the first move. Shahid kept mum, but Alia gave a
disgruntled look to the wedding question- crasher.
Shahid was then asked whether he took inspiration to plan his wedding from Shaandaar. And it was then, that Alia (literally) leapt to Shahid's defense saying: "No questions related to Shahid Kapoor's shaadi. No wedding questions."
Shahid applauded Alia's gutsy move saying, "That's what you call girl power."
And then Alia explained her sudden 'outburst' to the media: "I'm just protective of Shahid. And we are here to talk about Shaandaar. I get irritated when people ask personal questions instead of our work. It's only fair." (Also Read: Alia and Shahid Look Good On Screen, Says Shaandaar Director)
Alia also did not let her other projects steal Shaandaar's lime
light. When asked about her first reaction when she was offered a film
opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Alia said: "Right now I'm only doing a film
with Shahid Kapoor, so the only man I want to talk about is him."
Shaandaar
also stars Pankaj Kapur, Sanjay Kapoor, Sanah Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh.
Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film is slated for October 22 release.
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt said that if given an opportunity, she would "love to be a dance teacher or an acting teacher".
At a media interaction for the 'Girl Rising: A Global Campaign For
Girls' Education in India', Alia said: "I would love to be one. Like a
dance teacher or acting teacher, but not a History or Geography
teacher."
The event was held in order to officially announce the premiere of its film Girl Rising - Woh Padhegi Woh Udegi in India. The film is a collaboration between the government's 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' campaign and the channel on which it will be aired. It will also be released online, in Hindi as well as English.
Actresses Nandita Das, Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Parineeti Chopra and
Kareena Kapoor as well as Alia have featured in the film. It has been
produced by Priyanka Chopra and Freida Pinto, who are the brand
ambassadors of the initiative and also star in it.
The film in English, directed by Academy Award nominee Richard E
Robbins, had released in 2013. It depicted the stories of eight
resilient girls from different countries who battled obstacles to
achieve their dreams.
"Highway" star Alia Bhatt
says her filmmaker father Mahesh Bhatt advises the actress to use her
popularity for the right causes. "My father says I should use my
popularity in the right direction and not just restrict it to films. I
have been in the industry for three years and I try and do things like
this," Alia told reporters here at the launch of a short film "Girls
Rising".
The film, supporting the cause of girls, is helmed by Academy
Award-nominated director Richard E Robbins. The 22-year-old "Humpty
Sharma Ki Dulhania" actress has learnt from her mother to help
others. "My mother used to pay for education of the daughters of
sweeper, watchman and others. This is something I saw happening at home
and I want to take it up when I run my own house," Alia said.

the film before he left for the UK. And the actress has recently come on
board the project."

dress sense, has five big-ticket releases lined up through 2015-16.

At last, Sidharth Malhotra opens up about why he refrains from opening up about his alleged girlfriend Alia Bhatt.
Sidharth and Alia are said to be an item, but neither of the two has
come out in the open about their relationship. Yes, both Sidharth
Malhotra and Alia Bhatt have been very tightlipped in answering personal
questions.
Now, Sidharth Malhotra reveals the reason why he doesn’t talk about the alleged relationship.
“Certain things, if you voice them or you want to say in a
particular way dilutes their importance… Especially our personal life,
which is precious and sacred to me. Whatever comment I make on it should
not matter,” Sidharth is quoted as saying by PTI.
The ‘Brothers’ actor went on to say that the time spent with Alia is sacred.
“As far as Alia and I are convincing on-screen as lovers, romancing
each other that’s all that should matter. What we do otherwise in our
precious time should be sacred to us, to me,” Sidharth told PTI.
Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt are teaming up again in ‘Kapoor And Sons’. This is their second film together after ‘Student Of The Year’.
“It was exciting that Alia and I got a chance to work again after
‘Student’. We have come a long way from the first film. There is a
difference in our performances as well,” Sidharth said.

healthy,” Katrina told reporters.
Actress Alia Bhatt is all of 22 but apparently won’t be tying the knot for at least a decade.
At the trailer launch of her friend Anushka Ranjan’s film ‘Wedding
Pulav’, Alia Bhatt was asked the obvious question: when does she plan to
taste the ‘wedding pulav’.
“I am just 22 and I think 32 will be right age to taste the wedding
pulav. I have not tasted 'shaadi ka ladoo', so I hopefully will not
regret,” Alia said.
When asked what qualities she wants in her groom, Alia Bhatt said he’s definitely got to have a sense of humour.
“He must make me laugh, then obviously comes good looks, good looks and good looks,” she said.
“I will not tell how to impress me, the person who loves me should know how to impress me,” she added.
Alia Bhatt is presently said to be dating Sidharth Malhotra, who is
obviously good looking, doesn’t have to make much effort to impress
someone, and apparently has a good sense of humour as well. Not that we
are suggesting anything.
